… The story of Ranjeeta might not be interested and would never catch the eye of the Western World. Tourists who come to the island rarely see the picture outside of the fence of the 5 star hotel and or the excursion bus. Even the local expat community who live here are rarely giving a try to improve things, with a few exceptions that I am aware about.
But for many locals this story is a true inspirational example of how you move forward. Specially for young women of the modern Mauritius. Educational system is still required big changes as it leaves thousands of people behind the hope and place in society which might cause more serious problems in the nearest future: increasing crime, social instability etc.
