TOURIST ARRIVALS TO MAURITIUS HIT RECORD IN NOVEMBER

The number of tourists in Mauritius is increasing according to the results of November 2009 which were above the records of 2007 and  way above last year November. The original forecast by the ministry of tourism has being revised from -10% decline to -6%. You can read more details in today news article by Mahesh Bugnath.

It is obviously good for the local economy but I am getting jealous and worry about the environmental changes of the island. Sure more tourists means more security for many people on the island from the income point of view, but there is a price for everything and I still want to see Mauritius as a mysterious place with marvelous nature and people here and there but not overcrowded.
