Dec. 14 (Bloomberg) — SMRT Corp., Singapore’s biggest train operator, will advise Mauritius on plans for a Light Rail Transit system, Public Infrastructure Minister Anil Bachoo said.
All reports on the project have been sent to SMRT to study the financial and technical details of the proposals, Bachoo said in a statement handed to reporters in the capital, Port Louis, today. The Singapore company will look at its “bankability,” including subsidies needed to make it affordable.
